Cupping Therapy
Cupping hijama is an alternative therapy,done by putting cups on selected points of skin and creating pressure less than atmospheric pressure either through heat or suction.
The aim of cupping is to prevent diseases and treat some of them. Treatment by cupping is one of the Sunnahs in Islamic, and many hadiths have mentioned the virtue of treatment with cupping.
The use of cupping is not limited to Muslims, but many athletes have done cupping, as it protects from many symptoms and chronic diseases.
Cupping includes two types, depending on the nature of the pathological condition to be treated, in addition to the person’s desire mainly to choose the type of cupping, and the opinion of the therapist is also taken into consideration:
